From all the members of the CSO Latino Alliance Advisory Board, we wish you a Happy New Year 2025!
As we embark on this new year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support of the CSO Latino Alliance in 2024. In this newsletter, you’ll find a summary of our shared activities over the past year in the article “2024: a year of music, culture and celebration with the CSO Latino Alliance.”
As we move into the second half of the 11th Latino Alliance season, we are excited to continue welcoming you to Symphony Center for outstanding musical performances, as well as educational preconcert discussions and postconcert networking events.
Together, we will carry forward our mission to serve as a bridge between the Chicagoland Latino community and classical music, providing access to classical music for future generations.
We are deeply grateful for your continued support and proud to count you as part of our CSO family. We look forward to seeing you at Symphony Center soon!
¡Feliz Año Nuevo!
Estefanía García and Juan Solana
Co-Chairs, CSO Latino Alliance
The Latino Alliance looks back at 2024, during which members gathered to celebrate music, culture and community at a dozen events. Here’s to another incredible year ahead!
The trailblazing 18-member string orchestra, composed of outstanding Black and Latino musicians from around the country, performs diverse masterworks by Teresa Carreño and Grammy Award-winning composer Jessie Montgomery. Following the concert, CSO Latino Alliance members are invited to raise a glass alongside Sphinx Virtuosi leadership and musicians in celebration of their Symphony Center debut.
The reception is co-hosted with the CSO African American Network and is held in Grainger Ballroom following the concert.
The young professionals of the Overture Council proudly bring their acclaimed fashion show event back to the Orchestra Hall stage at Symphony Center! As part of the Soundpost event series, this one-of-a-kind experience showcases Chicago’s emerging talent across diverse artistic disciplines.
As each model graces the runway, their movements are accompanied by live performances by musicians from the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, creating a captivating fusion of fashion and classical music. Renaissance Remix seeks to bridge generational gaps and redefine the symphony experience, proving that, like fashion, classical music is adaptable, emotive and timelessly relevant.
Use your Latino Alliance member ticket benefit to enjoy an upcoming concert!
As a member of the CSO Latino Alliance, you have access to specially priced tickets for $40 or less to many concerts throughout the season, using promo code LA. Learn more at cso.org/latinoalliance.
