We are pleased to announce that audition registration is open for the 2021 Young Dancer Workshop. Register today to secure your spot!

Auditions will be conducted virtually and held on the following dates: February 21 and March 7. Students also have the option to submit an audition video in place of a live virtual audition.

Young dancers will experience an introduction to intensive ballet training during Colorado Ballet Academy’s Young Dancer Workshop. Students work closely with the accomplished leaders of CBA in a mentoring, inclusive environment as they participate in daily ballet classes and complimentary classes including character, modern, jazz, classical choreography and interactive artist talks. YDW will emphasize growth in technique, artistry and dance phrasing. Each session will have a fundamental focus and will concentrate specifically on adagio, turns, petit allegro, grand allegro, artistry and step sequencing. Sessions will culminate with a short performance.

Youth America Grand Prix

Regional Semi-Final Denver: February 19 & 20

Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) is the world’s largest global network of dance. It fulfills its mission to support and develop world-class dancers, ages 9-19, of all economic, ethnic and geographic backgrounds.

Even though YAGP looks a little different this year, our students have been working hard and preparing to compete in the Regional Semi-Final: Denver - February 19 & 20. Students have received ten hours of virtual coaching and have recently come into the studios for a few final rehearsals. Thirty-one students from Levels 3 through Pre-Professional Division will represent Colorado Ballet Academy, competing with twenty-seven classical solos, twenty-one contemporary solos and one duet.

We wish our students the best of luck as they perform February 19 & 20! Please email academy@coloradoballet.org to find out more about how you can tune in for the live-streaming of the event.
