Everyman & Playhouse theatres
For Liverpool theatre makers

Thu 12 Nov 2020

Hi Everyone and Welcome our latest New Works Newsletter,

First of all, apologies for the lateness of this update. We aim to get these newsletters out every fortnight, but with additional lockdown announcements and presenting a real life show on our stage, this is coming to you a week late.

Last week we welcomed friend of the theatres, Daniel Kitson to the Everyman. His show Dot.Dot.Dot. was the first time we have had performance on the stage since we had to cut short the run of Our Lady of Blundellsands back in March. Although streamed live from an empty auditorium, it was still a complete joy to see our stage animated again.

In this email we have our usual updates, round up of some opportunities and some what’s on notices. Remember you can email us at newworks@everymanplayhouse.com with your own updates to include, or with any questions you have for us.

Thank you and we hope to see you soon!

Updates

• Following last week’s new lockdown restrictions, we made the decision to take our November programming online. We are so pleased to be working with Homotopia on this year’s festival, and can still present two amazing events at the Everyman that will be streamed to audiences. If you already have tickets, keep an eye on your emails, otherwise check out the Homotopia website to see what’s on for the last few days of the festival.

• We are still working hard on our Christmas plans for the Everyman and will be announcing the festive offer over the next week or so. We are really excited to be able to work with, and present work by, freelancers from across the city. Stay tuned for announcements!

• We recently let you know about a North West region update for freelancers and artists presented by Venues North. Due to new lockdown announcements, this will be moved into early December. We will share information once we have venues confirmed. The format will likely be a Zoom meeting with a downloadable document for those that can’t attend.
