Back by popular demand following its sell out run in 2018, Live Theatre's hit production Clear White Light returns from Thurs 19 Sep - Sat 12 Oct 2019.
Voted as one of the top theatre shows of 2018 by readers of The Guardian we are thrilled to bring back this modern, Gothic drama following the story of student mental health nurse Alison as she starts her first night shift on an all male ward set in the atmospheric surroundings of St Nicholas' Hospital in Gosforth.
Featuring the songs of Alan Hull of Lindisfarne, they are played live on stage by the actors including former members of Lindisfarne, Ray Laidlaw and Billy Mitchell.
Tickets £12 - £26, concs from £10.
Original cast members Charlie Hardwick, Joe Caffrey, Ray Laidlaw, Billy Mitchell, Phil Adèle, Alice Blundell and Dale Jewitt all reprise their roles in the hit show. Elizabeth Carter joins this year’s cast to take on the role of Alison.

Joe Douglas on returning to direct Clear White Light, one year on
'Clear White Light was a great success with our audiences last year - so much so that we thought we should bring it back. Being new to the region, I had no idea how much Lindisfarne and Alan Hull’s songs meant to people in Newcastle but by the end of our first performance, I understood. Audience members would mouth along to lyrics or even sing along in their seats, it felt to me like this music was somehow in the Geordie DNA. Charlie Hardwick singing the vocals gave a new, female interpretation to the music...'
