As a part of Jazz & Social Justice week (Apr 18-22), trumpeter Terence Blanchard brings his GRAMMY-nominated E-Collective, performing music of hope and healing from their forthcoming Blue Note Records album Live, a collection of live recordings made in Minneapolis, Cleveland, and Dallas – three cities scarred by the violence and tension between law enforcement and their African-American populations.

Experimental, electric and exotic, E-Collective consists of Blanchard on trumpet, Charles Altura on guitar, Fabian Almazan on piano and synthesizers, Oscar Seaton on drums, and new addition David “DJ” Ginyard on bass.
