Our free Schools' Broadcast series continues in 2021 with five new broadcasts sharing the work of former Children's Laureate and best-selling author Michael Morpurgo.

Based on his new book Tales from Shakespeare, these special free events for schools will introduce students to some of Shakespeare's best-loved plays including Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest. The stories will be told by both Michael himself and members of the RSC Acting Company.

PREPARING STUDENTS FOR THE BROADCAST

Our research tells us that preparing young people to watch the broadcast greatly increases their engagement and enjoyment.

To support Tales from Shakespeare we are creating a new set of literacy resources to help and inspire students creative writing: to create their own interpretations and adaptations of Shakespeare’s stories and characters.

Resources will be added throughout January.

In addition you can find lots of ways to explore the original plays at the links below:

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Romeo and Juliet

The Tempest

Macbeth

The Winter's Tale
