Butterfly Biosphere

On Monday, September 11 Thanksgiving Point broke ground on our fifth venue, the upcoming Butterfly Biosphere. The Butterfly Biosphere will be housed in the former Emporium Building, just north of the Water Tower Plaza. This 33,000 square foot building will teach families of all ages about the lifecycle of a butterflies. Like all of the Thanksgiving Point venues, it will be a hands-on place of learning and fun. The Butterfly Biosphere is scheduled to open in Fall of 2018.


Harvest Festival

Harvest Festival

On Saturday, September 23 you're invited to celebrate the harvest season at Thanksgiving Point's annual Harvest Festival! Enjoy FREE admission for artisan and produce vendors, kids crafts, music, and the crowd favorite, the 13th annual giant pumpkin weigh-off presented by Utah’s Giant Pumpkin Growers! Other competitions include weigh-offs for long gourds, giant tomatoes and watermelons.

The Museum of Natural Curiosity and the Museum of Ancient Life are proud to announce new traveling exhibits called Tree House and Toys. Both exhibits will be included with each museum's admission which are always free for Thanksgiving Point  members. Come check out these new additions, opening September 16 at each location.

Scarecrow Festival

Fall is in the air which means the Scarecrow Festival is coming back to the Ashton Gardens! Enjoy the beautiful autumn colors in the expansive 55-acre gardens and dozens of imaginative scarecrows built and submitted by the community.  This week long festival will also feature fun outdoor games, crafts, music and yummy food! Festival is included with regular garden admission and FREE for Thanksgiving Point Members.

Like always, everyone is invited to submit a scarecrow. You can win all kinds of cool prizes. Get yours submitted today. 

Dog Days

It's that time of year again as we celebrate Dog Days in the Gardens. Time to enjoy the fall colors with your 4-legged best friend. Time to enjoy the weather before winter arrives. Time to be together as a complete family at the Ashton Gardens! 

During the week of September 25-30 all dogs are welcome with their families. Admissions to the Ashton Gardens is always free for Thanksgiving Point members. To learn more about membership, visit our membership benefits page.
