We have some news to share before it becomes public later today. Eric Rosen will be leaving KCRep as artistic director at the end of August. Eric will continue to be involved with a few artistic projects throughout the 2018-2019 season.
As many of you know, Eric has been instrumental in increasing the national reputation of KCRep over the last decade. His artistry has transformed KCRep into a national-tier theatre. We are grateful for his passion, dedication, and commitment to our city and KCRep.
I am excited to relay that the Executive Committee has named Jason Chanos as interim artistic director. We are confident that under Jason’s leadership, our world-class artistic team will be able to maintain the extraordinary standards set during Eric’s tenure. In his new role, Jason will partner with executive director, Angela Gieras, to lead the organization while the Board of Directors conducts a national search for a visionary artistic director.
