Accessing Campus
Just a reminder that Cambrian College’s vaccination policies will be in place until at least until the end of the semester. New students and those who have not previously had their vaccination status verified will be required to upload their Canadian COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination (the document containing the QR code) in order to access campus and student residence. Community organizations host free tax clinics where volunteers file tax returns for eligible people.

Fraud Prevention Month - Protect Yourself from Being Scammed
March is Fraud Prevention Month, and we want to remind our students to be aware of common and emerging scams. In some scams, the caller pretends to be the police or an immigration officer. The police and the IRCC will never ask you to pay money in the form of money transfers, BitCoin, prepaid credit cards, or gift cards. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and do not provide your personal information.

Immigration Session - Post-Graduation Work Permit
Thursday, March 24, 2:00 p.m. EST
This information session on the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) application will cover the following topics:
- Creating an online account with IRCC
- Checking eligibility to apply online and creating your document checklist
- Filling out the Post-Graduation Work Permit application form IMM5710
- Information on eligibility for working after applying
- Full-time work eligibility after applying
- Immigration Q&A
To stay back and work in Canada after you graduate from your current program, you should apply for one of the following:
1. Apply for your post-graduate work permit.
2. Apply for a study permit extension if required, should you get your letter of acceptance for your next study program.
Reminder: Please upload your Immigration Documents (Study Permit, Co-op Work Permit, and Additional Documents if necessary) in the iCent App under “Upload Mandatory Documents”.

Mental Health 101
These workshops, presented by the Glenn Crombie Centre (GCC), explore how to recognize the signs and symptoms of stressors, how to access services (on/off campus), and tips for self-care through healthy coping strategies.
