This year, I have the opportunity to serve on the African American Network (AAN) Advisory Board. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Advisory Board and within the AAN to advocate the appreciation of classical and other music genres by Chicagoland’s African American and African-descended communities.

The African American Network invites you to celebrate in style at Joy After Dark: The AAN Afterparty. Immediately following the much-anticipated Samara Joy concert, enjoy cool drinks and velvety desserts in Grainger Ballroom, a classic venue with a contemporary twist befitting Samara Joy herself.
Ticket availability is limited! Tickets for AAN members start at $40 and are good for both the concert and event. There are two ways to secure your spot to this high-demand concert:
Your ticket is good for both the afterparty and concert, and is required for entry.
The AAN is thrilled to launch the season with the October 27 Samara Joy event...with more to follow! On Wednesday, October 4, look for a formal announcement of the six performances the AAN will highlight with pre- and postconcert programming. (Want a sneak peek? An AAN Series Subscription is available to secure your seats now!) We can't wait to see you for the season ahead!
Stay connected by joining the CSO African American Network Facebook Group, moderated by Advisory Board members Barbara Wright-Pryor and Ted Tabe. Be the first to see event updates, photo content, articles and more!
