Join the artist, friends and supporters of the ICA to celebrate in person the opening of Napoleon Jones-Henderson, a concise survey of the artist’s works in various media across a 50-year period, centered around his magisterial woven textiles. Enjoy a first look at the exhibition, music, and complimentary refreshments at this exciting evening event!

For more than 50 years, Napoleon Jones-Henderson (b. 1943, Chicago) has created works that strive to highlight, celebrate, and empower the communities where he lives. Founding member of the influential artist collective African Commune of Bad Relevant Artists (AfriCOBRA), Jones-Henderson ties AfriCOBRA’s aesthetic principles into his work by creating images inspired by the lived experience and cultures of people of the African diaspora.
