Our 30th season is brimming with OSF favorites...
Artistic Director Allen Nause started his acting career at Oregon Shakespeare Festival in 1975 and appeared in dozens of shows on the festival’s many stages. Throughout the past 30 years, many OSF actors, designers and directors have brought their talent to Artists Rep stages and we are thrilled that this season is keeping in that tradition.
On stage now: Red Herring by Michael Hollinger. Directed by OSF’s Christopher Liam Moore (Director of August: Osage County and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, among others) with set design by OSF veteran Richard Hay (he has been designing for the festival for the last 55 seasons!). Opening night was on Friday and the laughter and praise for the cast, crew and design team had the lobby abuzz.

“The acting, the directing, the set, the play – everything about it is incredible!”
-
“…A rollicking good time: tightly written, fast paced, I can’t believe the actors can keep up with it. And it has a happy ending, a beautiful ending. Love triumphs over all!”

Abe of BePortland.com calls Red Herring a “...gut-busting hilarious” look at one of our most prized and mocked institutions – marriage – through a '50s crime-noir lens. Read that review here.
