Making Art, Building Community: 100 Years of the Edmonton Art Club

In 2021, the Edmonton Art Club (EAC) is celebrating their 100th anniversary as the oldest continuing art organization in Alberta. Founded in 1921, the EAC has been instrumental in helping to lay the foundation for the development of visual arts in the province. In commemoration of this significant milestone, the AGA’s exhibition Making Art, Building Community: 100 Years of the Edmonton Club will take a broad view of the Club’s past, including a selection of previous members whose work spans diverse media, subject matter and style.

Organized by the Art Gallery of Alberta and curated by Danielle Siemens. Presented by ATB Financial.
