Join us as the 2018 season kicks off June 21 with Joshua Bell and Academy of St Martin in the Fields

A musical adventure in a setting like no other.

We're so excited to launch our 2018 season with the third-annual residency of the London-based chamber orchestra Academy of St Martin in the Fields, led by superstar violinist Joshua Bell. We are also thrilled to welcome back the powerful Dallas Symphony Orchestra (June 27-July 4), The Philadelphia Orchestra, also known as the Fabulous Philadelphians (July 6-14), and the iconic New York Philharmonic (July 20-27).

Let the musical adventures begin!

NIELSEN: Serenata in vano for Winds and Strings
MOZART: Clarinet Quintet K. 581 for Winds and Strings
BEETHOVEN: Septet for Winds and Strings

One of the most popular chamber works by one of the world’s most popular composers, Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet is unquestionably a masterpiece of the entire classical music repertoire: innovative, exquisite, and bursting with gorgeous colors. Perfectly preceded by Nielsen’s witty “Serenade in Vain,” this charming musical journey concludes with the youthfully exuberant Septet by Beethoven. All in all, a glorious showcase for the Academy’s winds and strings.

Annie's Spotlight

One of the things that really makes Bravo! Vail unique is the glorious natural setting of the spectacular Vail Valley. Experiencing music outside is totally different from any concert hall in the world. The last time Beethoven's Pastorale Symphony was performed here (by The Philadelphia Orchestra) there was an actual thunderstorm during the storm movement, which was just as magical and breathtaking as you would imagine. The presence of nature actually informs a lot of how we think about our programs, and how you, the audience, will experience them. So as you enjoy stellar performances by the world's finest musicians and ensembles this season, I also invite you to appreciate the surrounding environment. The combination of great artistry and natural beauty is what makes Bravo! Vail truly special.
