Global Humanitarian Award
John and Tashia Morgridge have been named the 12th recipients of the James C. Morgan Global Humanitarian Award. Sponsored by Applied Materials, this award honors individuals whose broad vision, leadership, and philanthropy address the world’s most challenging problems.
Thanks to our generous partner Berrett-Koehler Publishers, guests will receive an autographed copy of astronaut Ron Garan’s book The Orbital Perspective. Garan, who will be in attendance at the Gala, is a decorated fighter pilot, astronaut, aquanaut, and entrepreneur who has logged 178 days in space and 71 million miles in orbit. He is the founder of the nonprofit social enterprise incubator Manna Energy Foundation and Fragile Oasis, an effort to use the orbital perspective to inspire positive social and environmental action.
