PHAME presents Up the Fall

PHAME, the Portland region's acclaimed fine and performing arts program for people experiencing developmental disabilities, is proud to present a world-premiere play with music, Up the Fall.

Up the Fall is a music-theatre journey by Debbie Lamedman, following mythical characters around the globe, set to a folk-music score composed by internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Laura Gibson. This play-with-music, directed by Drammy-award winning stage director, Matthew B. Zrebski, will star an inclusive cast of actors with and without developmental disabilities.

The story takes place in both Portland and a mythical other-world. When the nefarious Graea Sisters kidnap three animal spirits who control the passage of time, the world’s salvation falls into the hands of Diana, a young woman living in Portland. Together with a squirrel spirit named Ratatoskr, Diana travels to this land in order to help save it.
