The pair will launch an exclusive new collaborative design at the Museum Shop and also paint a mural during the event. The evening is sponsored by Bank of Hawaii.

“I have a deep admiration for Simone Legno on many levels,” said Wong, who is the founder and lead director of POW! WOW!, a nonprofit global network of artists that organizes art exhibitions, lecture series, art and music schools, creative community spaces, concerts, and live art installations around the world. “He has the unique ability to span multiple creative outlets seamlessly and reach an untold amount of fans. I am lucky and honored to call him a friend and I look forward to collaborating with Simone and tokidoki for the Honolulu Museum of Art.”

Legno, who is based in Los Angeles. frequently visits Hawai‘i. “I am so excited to have been asked to participate in ARTafterDARK. After 10 years of participating in events in Hawai‘i, I become more inspired by the aloha spirit and the special culture of Hawai‘i.”

From 6 to 6:30 p.m., ARTafterDARK guests will be able to meet Wong and Legno in the Museum Shop, where their new design will be available for purchase in the form of T-shirts and prints.

Two DJs will set different tones in different courtyards—DJ Mr. Modular will play a tokidoki-inspired J-pop soundtrack while DJ Tittahbyte will play contemporary hits (and some throwbacks) to go with the POW! WOW! vibe.
