Family Movie Night

On Saturday, February 24, The Academy Parents Association will host Family Movie Night at Cincinnati Ballet Center.

More details will be announced soon. We look forward to a fun evening for our students and families as we enjoy a movie and continue to build our Academy community.

In the event of severe weather or unexpected events requiring school closure, the Otto M. Budig Academy does its best to keep Academy families informed via the following channels:

Should severe weather occur or be imminent, we encourage you to check in frequently throughout the day as closure status may change pending information from our trusted sources.

Spring Production 2018

We can't wait to showcase student achievement in our Annual Spring Production this coming May 2018! We will continue to be in touch with more details about the production in the coming months, but we want to be sure you have the date(s) saved in your calendar.

Summer Programs 2018

With school out of session, summer offers the time and freedom to fuel your passion and take your dancing to the next level. Cincinnati Ballet’s Otto M. Budig Academy offers unique summer programming for students of all levels. 

Kids Dance Camp

Join us for the Summer of Magic! Over three week-long adventures, Kids Dance Camp will explore the fantasy worlds of Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. Ages 4 - 8.

Summer Bridge

The Summer Bridge Program is comprised of three week-long series of ballet technique classes aimed at keeping you in peak physical condition. For students in Main Division Levels 3 - 7.

Youth Summer Intensive

Youth Summer Intensive is designed to serve as an introduction to intensive summer training in a nurturing environment for young, aspiring dancers who desire to grow in their dance training. 

Academy students in Main Division Levels 1 - 3 will receive a letter by February 1 with suggested summer placement.

Summer Intensive

Summer Intensive partners with professionally aspiring students through an immersive dance experience designed to cultivate individual potential. 

Any eligible Academy student who is interested in attending MUST audition. Students need to be 12 years old by program start to audition. There will be an audition at the Ballet Center on February 4.

Collegiate Summer Intensive

Collegiate Summer Intensive supports the unique needs of serious dancers in pursuit of higher education and is produced in partnership with the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. 

On Stage

Carmina Burana + Serenade
February 8 - 11 @ Music Hall

Carl Orff’s evocative score comes to life in the Cincinnati premiere of Carmina Burana by world-renowned choreographer Nicolo Fonte, complete with live music and the voices of the May Festival Chorus. 

Balanchine’s brilliant Serenade is a piece of ravishing beauty, performed to Tchaikovsky’s lush and romantic Serenade for Strings.
