July 2019

Starting a business can be a lonely experience with many challenges along the way.  The Enterprise Hub offers a package of support within a shared coworking office space, tailored to meet the requirements of the entrepreneur and create a community of like-minded individuals to share ideas and offer encouragement.

Every entrepreneur will be assigned their own business advisor who will work alongside them to develop the business plan and identify the support required.  This could include general support such as marketing, raising finance or company structure.  It could also include bespoke support to meet specific needs, such as exploring intellectual property or identifying a specialist mentor. And the best bit, it’s FREE for at least 6 months!

The support offered through the Enterprise Hub will be dynamic and engaging.  As well as providing one to one advice; we will seek to provide a range of activities such as guest speakers, hackathons, pitching events and interactive workshops.  We will also encourage entrepreneurs to benefit from each other's experiences.

We have also worked with Conwy Business Centre to establish a satellite Hub in Llandudno Junction as well as with other partners in Dolgellau, Botwnnog, Rhyl, Porthmadog and Ruthin to ensure the service can be accessed across the region

Refill is an award-winning campaign designed to help you reduce your plastic pollution, by making it easy to refill your reusable water bottle instead of buying a plastic one.

Every minute, one million plastic bottles are bought around the world, and that figure is expected to go up 20% by 2021

According to the Environmental Audit Committee consumption of bottled water has doubled over the last 15 years, with over 7 billion plastic water bottles used each year in the UK.

Put your tap on the map

Over 20,000 locations have joined the Refill revolution and you can too! By signing up as a Refill Station you’ll be helping to keep Britain hydrated and free of plastic pollution

Health and Safety for New and Temporary Workers

With summer arriving and the subsequent increase in seasonal work, workers are as likely to have an accident in the first six months at a workplace as during the whole of the rest of their working life.

The extra risk arises due to:

  •           Lack of experience of working in a new industry or workplace
  •           Lack of familiarity with the job and the work environment
  •           Reluctance to raise concerns (or not knowing how to)
  •           Eagerness to impress workmates and managers

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have produced guidance on protecting new workers.

For further information please visit the HSE website.
