PHOENIX —The Phoenix Symphony’s signature Savor the Symphony Women’s Luncheon brought food and music together for a good cause on February 8, 2019 at Symphony Hall. During the widely anticipated event, 350 women from across the Valley enjoyed an exclusive sneak peek at the rehearsal of Broadway star Matt Doyle followed by a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Lisa Dahl, one of the country's leading female chefs and restaurateurs.
Thanks to the generosity of corporate and individual sponsors, the 2019 Savor the Symphony was the most successful event to date. The funds raised support The Phoenix Symphony’s Education and Wellness programs, touching the lives of over 125,000 individuals each year.
Savor the Symphony guests enjoyed champagne and behind the scenes access to the rehearsal of Matt Doyle and The Phoenix Symphony orchestra while they performed a selection of popular Broadway songs. Guests were also delighted as they purchased mystery boxes and prize drawing tickets before taking part in a live auction emceed by Subyn Wadsworth. Auction items included a private dinner for ten at Dahl & Di Luca Ristorante Italiano in Sedona, six days and five nights on a luxurious Lake Powell houseboat and a luxurious 12-day cruise through the Mediterranean.
Jane Jozoff, Honorary Chair, was instrumental in creating Savor the Symphony, which has continued to serve as one of the Valley's most popular charitable and financially viable annual events for the past seven years. Event Chair DeeDee Vecchione graciously provided her time and talent to lead the event because she recognizes the value a thriving Symphony and educational and wellness programs have on the community. Thanks to the commitment of DeeDee and the Savor the Symphony Committee, the event will surpass fundraising goals.
