Opera lovers and foodies, our menu for Opera al Fresco is here! As you wander through the University of Alberta Botanic Garden, enjoying the scenery and music, indulge in sensory delights by sampling delectable hors d'oeuvres courtesy of our friends from Mercer's.

Ancient Grains Salad

A colourful salad with quinoa, different types of rice, corn, edamame, black beans & red peppers. Finished with an Asian sesame dressing and served in a bamboo boat.

With a pineapple and curry sauce.

Italian Caprese Salad Skewers

Fresh cherry tomato, Bocconcino cheese marinated in basil pesto. Drizzled with balsamic glaze.

All menu items are included with your ticket. We will be selling drink tickets ($7) at every station, redeemable for your choice of red or white wine. 

Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available upon request at several stations.

With such exquisite culinary offerings, beautiful landscapes, and sublime singing, Opera al Fresco is the must-attend garden party of the summer!
