Club Night Performers Announced
We are delighted to announce that Too Hot for Candy will be coming all the way from London to perform at the Funky Llama Club Night. Alongside local group, Samba Roc, and our very own Funky Llama dancers and singers, Too Hot for Candy bring you a sound they describe as 'way funky'. Inspired by Prince, Sly and the Family Stone, with big beats and funky drumming, this is music you can party to! Visit their facebook page to find out more.

Funky Llama Open Mic

In addition to our Main stage, you are invited to perform on our smaller Open Mic stage. You can sing, dance or tell a joke. If you are dancing bring a CD. If you are singing, don’t bring a CD, but you need written music (or chord sequence). Arrive early, put your name on the list and we will tell you when your slot comes up. Places are very limited.

Funky Llama Big Lottery Funding
At the end of June Funky Llama was awarded a four-year grant from the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund which will enable the Theatre Royal Plymouth to build on the work of 2013 and create more big Funky Llama events. We are keen to support and partner with existing organistions and projects so if you would like to make a connection please email becky.chapman@theatreroyal.com

Funky Llama Effect
Four local Plymouth services have been awarded bursaries to develop skills in the performing arts: Dame Hannah’s, Scope, Highbury Trust and The All Stars will get down to work with Theatre Royal Plymouth, Attik Dance and Plymouth Music Zone from September. To find out how to get involved in the next round, click here.

Funky Llama National Network
We would like to get together with artists and arts organisations to create a national network of Learning Disabled performers. The aim would be to open up opportunities for more people to share their talents across the country. If you would like to be kept in the loop please email becky.chapman@theatreroyal.com
