Join us on Wednesday, February 20 at 7pm for Artists on Light and Public Space: a conversation with three artists about the key role public art plays in sustaining shared spaces that promote healthy, flourishing, and equitable communities.
Barbara Goldstein, a leading voice in public art planning and place-making; Jim Campbell, creator of the recent Salesforce tower illumination, will discuss light as a medium for engaging community; and Andrea Polli, creator of numerous technology-based art installations, will share her thoughts and experiences. Together, the panel will explore the power of public, light-based installations.
This lecture is offered as an additional program for those visiting the Bruce Munro at Montalvo: Stories in Light exhibit on February 20. Separate exhibition tickets are required to attend the lecture.

Last week, we announced our outstanding calendar of 2019 Summer Camps...and this week, spaces are already being snatched up by our generous donors, who have early access to registration!
Our camp program is unlike any other in the Bay Area, presenting classes for ages 6-17 in a range of artistic disciplines. No matter what your child’s or teen’s interests may be, Montalvo has something to engage and inspire them.
But space is limited, and many sessions will sell out, so if you want to access the presale, consider making a gift today -- and ensure your child has a chance to participate in the camp they're most excited about! If you're already a donor, be sure to register before camps go on sale to the general public next Wednesday, January 23 at 12pm.
Time is running out to get your tickets to see the ethereal Kat Edmonson, performing this Saturday, January 19 at 8pm in our intimate Carriage House Theatre.
A rising star in the world of jazz vocal music, Edmonson was recently profiled in both the San Jose Mercury News and the Metro. If you missed her last summer when she performed at San Jose Jazz, you won't want to miss her again -- and if you saw that show, we know you want an encore!
Tickets still remain, but get yours today before they're gone.
