GROUP Workcamps are coming to Wrightsville, PA in June 2018. Learn how you can serve your community!
What are Workcamps?
GROUP Cares is a non-profit, interdenominational Christian volunteer home-repair organization. Every summer, almost 25,000 young people and adults participate in 39 Workcamps in communities across the U.S.
At Workcamps, teenagers come together to serve individuals and communities while building strong, long-lasting relationships with their friends and youth leaders. In six short days, hundreds of teenagers from youth groups across the country repair and transform homes for community residents in need through FREE home repair, basic construction and painting.
How Can You Help?
It takes a lot of people to bring a Workcamp to our area. This means there are lots of ways to get involved!
Do you know of someone who is a homeowner and could use repairs? If so, please complete a confidential application by October 31st to be considered and return to: Eastern York Workcamp Initiative 5 Main Street, Yorkana, PA 17406.
- Be part of the Community Team: Help is needed before, during and after the WorkCamp week in a variety of ways.
- Donate funds to help defray the costs of materials. Our commitment is $19,000!
- Pray for the young people and their leaders coming to our community to volunteer, the residents and the Community Team.
