Bobby Zankel and the Warriors return with a mid-week night concert with special guest Steve Lehman

Led by Philly’s own composer/saxophonist, Bobby Zankel, the Warriors of the Wonderful Sound have been called “a unique amalgam of the rhythm and intricacy of bebop, with the soul and drive of hard-bop, and the spirituality, creativity and intensity of the avant garde.” This series promises to be the midweek pick-me-up you’ve been waiting for.

This will be the first time that Steve Lehman and Bobby Zankel take the stage together! “I’ve been watching and admiring Steve's work for a long time,” says Bobby Zankel. “He’s developed into one of the most interesting composers in the world, if you ask me—he’s so original but also very deeply rooted in the genre. I’m thrilled that he can come down and play with us.”

Join us for this very special first time meeting of musicians.
