The most prominent artist blurring the musical lines between acoustic jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary R&B, pianist Glasper became a crossover star with his electro-acoustic Experiment band following the game-changing GRAMMY-winning Black Radio and Black Radio II albums. The group just released their latest album ArtScience, a recording that The Washington Post describes as "a spirited cruise on seas of soul, dance, funk and pop." The band will perform tracks off their newly highly acclaimed recording as well as classics from both Black Radio records.

Buzz-worthy vocalist Veronica Swift has set the jazz world on fire after her second-place finish at the 2015 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition. Swift, who has shared the stage with Jon Hendricks, Paquito D’Rivera, Esperanza Spalding, and Joe Lovano, and will be performing music from her new album, Lonely Woman.

Called “a bright young singer and guitarist with an ear for music of both folkloric and pop intention” by The New York Times, Chilean artist Camila Meza has brought a fresh new sound to the jazz scene, writing songs crossing genres in both English and Spanish.

Petra Haden & Jesse Harris

SAT-SUN, DEC 3-4

Vocalist and violinst Petra Haden, who is also the daughter of bass legend Charlie Haden, teams up with one of the 21st Century’s top songwriters in Jesse Harris (Harris wrote Noarah Jones' 2002 hit “Don’t Know Why”). The two incredibly talented will perform music off of their new album Seemed Like a Good Idea, which nicely blends jazz, pop, country and folk music.
