Yr adeg hon y llynedd, mae’n anodd coelio ein bod yng nghanol ein gŵyl gyntaf ac roeddwn newydd gyfarfod â John Cale, un o fy arwyr cerddorol. Fe lofnododd fy albwm Velvet Underground a Nico cyn camu ar y llwyfan i berfformio sioe a hanner, a gwesteion fel Charlotte Church, Gwenno Saunders, Michael Sheen, Côr Gospel y Tŷ a cherddorfa siambr yn cadw cwmni iddo. Fe gawsant eu dwyn ynghyd i greu sioe gwbl unigryw ar y noson agoriadol. Roedd hynny'n arwydd o'r hyn oedd i ddod dros y 10 diwrnod nesaf wrth inni annog cynulleidfaoedd, cyfranwyr a ni'n hunain i grwydro oddi ar y llwybr cyfarwydd a darganfod pethau newydd...

A message from Artistic Director Graeme Farrow 

I can’t quite believe that this time last year, we were in the midst of our first festival and I had just met one of my music heroes, John Cale. He signed my Velvet Underground & Nico album and then got on stage and performed a remarkable show, joined by guests Charlotte Church, Gwenno Saunders, Michael Sheen, the House Gospel Choir and a chamber orchestra. They were all brought together for a once in a lifetime opening night show which set the tone for the next 10 days where we encouraged audiences, participants and indeed ourselves, to adventure off the beaten path and discover something new…
