Tulip Festival

The 13th annual Tulip Festival is coming to a close, this Saturday May 6! Don't miss the final days to see the almost 300,000 tulips at the Ashton Gardens. To celebrate another successful Tulip Festival we'll have a special, one night only concert, with the American Heritage Lyceum Orchestra and Simply Three (see story below).

For you photographers out there, use the hashtag #tuliparty on your social media postings to be entered into our photo contest. Winners receive Thanksgiving Point memberships and have their photo featured on the Thanksgiving Point marquee!

Don't forget that at the conclusion of the Festival we dig the bulbs out of the ground and sell them. You'll be able to create your own Tulip Festival in your yard. Stay tuned for sale date and other details in May.

Please note that the date has been changed on the Swing Dance, originally scheduled on April 28 to June 3 due to inclement weather that weekend. *Last week's email erroneously reported the date of the dance to May 27.

Alex Boye Live at Thanksgiving Point

On Friday, May 19 Alex Boye will perform at Thanksgiving Point's Show Barn for one night only. His music is described as, “contagious & highly entertaining." 

Tickets to this special event  make the perfect gift to celebrate Mother’s Day. Alex was raised by his Nigerian mother in London who encouraged him to include his African roots in his music. “Stay true to you,” she would say. It took 20 years for Alex to implement his mother’s plea and when he did, he started to find success. This led to Alex’s now famous mantra, “Listen to your momma.”

Tulip Festival Concert: American Heritage Lyceum Philharmonic with Simply Three

American Lyceum

The American Heritage Lyceum Orchestra performs against a gorgeous garden backdrop you won't want to miss in this special concert to close the 2017 Tulip Festival. Special Musical Guests Simply Three will bring their captivating classical crossovers for a thrilling performance audiences won't forget. Check out a previous collaboration between these two amazing groups.

Concert is FREE with Tulip Festival admissions and begins at 7:30 pm.
