The program consists of Dvořák’s String Quintet No.2 in G Major, Op. 77 as well as Schubert’s Piano Quintet in A Major, D.667 (Trout), with artists including Evan Price, violinist with the Hot Club of SF and Turtle Island Quartet; Carla Maria Rodrigues, Principal Violist of the SF Opera Orchestra; GRAMMY-nominated pianist Robert Koenig and more.

McBride performs in a duo setting with bluegrass bassist and classical crossover great Edgar Meyer. A MacArthur “Genius Grant” recipient and winner of the prestigious Avery Fisher Prize for achievement in classical music, Meyer has collaborated with artists spanning the bluegrass, country, rock, world music, and classical worlds including Béla Fleck, Chris Thile, and Yo-Yo Ma.

Highly recommended for fans of Nils Frahm and Philip Glass.
