HONOLULU, HAWAI‘I—ARTafterDARK is back! After its annual winter hiatus, the museum’s monthly event, which welcomed almost 20,000 visitors in 2017, returns Jan. 26—to close the museum’s Bollywood Film Festival with a Kiss Kiss Bang Bhangra. The evening is presented by THE MODERN HONOLULU.

At ARTafterDARK: Kiss Kiss Bang Bhangra, the art focus is on Indian sights, sounds and tastes. Guests can explore subcontinental art in the Indian Gallery, learn Bollywood dance moves from dance troupe Aaja Nachle, dance to bhangra beats from DJ Mr. Nick, and get mehndi designs from Hau‘oli Henna and Touch of Henna Hawai‘i.

THE MODERN will offer mini massages from Lather Spa; a Bollywood-themed photo booth; and the opportunity to get into ADDICTION Nightclub for the official ARTafterDARK after party.

Delicious Indian bites from EAT Honolulu and drinks by Free Spirits Mobile Bartenders will be available for purchase.

Guests can win a Recline + Dine experience at THE MODERN
In addition, THE MODERN offers visitors who join or renew their membership at the Supporting ($100) level or higher a chance to win a one-night stay in an Ocean View Room at THE MODERN HONOLULU; dinner for two at RAVISH; a luxury daybed experience; and breakfast for two at The Grove. Existing Basic ($25) level members may enter by upgrading their membership to the Supporting level or higher. To enter, guests must join or renew any time between Jan. 12 and the end of ARTafterDARK on Jan. 26. The winner will be announced on Friday, Feb. 9, by phone or email.
