Annie's Spotlight

Anne-Marie McDermott

Bravo! Vail Artistic Director

If you’ve been following these email updates, you’ve seen many examples of my devotion to nurturing young artists and sharing their talents with the world. I feel especially strongly that every summer at Bravo! Vail, audiences should be introduced to at least one up-and-coming string quartet, as this ensemble format is one of the cornerstones of the chamber music world. I learned about the Omer Quartet through Young Concert Artists (they were winners of the 2017 International Auditions), and I am thrilled to have them among our 2018 Chamber Musicians in Residence. The best professional development for musicians always includes opportunities to perform for as many different audiences as possible, which meshes beautifully with our commitment to providing free, excellent concerts throughout the Vail Valley, and my personal passion for showcasing outstanding new talents.
