Cincinnati Ballet is proud to unveil its plans to build a new home! The Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance will dramatically expand Cincinnati Ballet’s mission to enrich, expand, and excel in the art of dance through performance, a high-caliber academy, and impactful education and community engagement programs. The size of the new ballet center will be significantly larger, providing ample space for the Company, as well as the Otto M. Budig Academy and specialized programming.
An Insider Presentation will be held for Academy families on Thursday, November 7 at 6:15 pm in the Cincinnati Ballet Center lobby. Join us to learn more about the center's unique features designed specifically with our Academy community in mind.
The week of November 11 - 17, we invite Academy parents and guardians into the studio classroom to observe class and witness your students’ hard work and progress. We kindly ask you limit the number of observers to 2 people per student to allow for comfortable seating for all. A few other reminders:
• Parents may come and go as needed. When entering the studio, please wait until the current exercise is completed and the music has stopped.
• No electronic devices may be brought into the studio. If you need to use your cell phone, please step into the hallway.
• For the protection of all students, absolutely no photography or videography is allowed during class.

Ward off the winter blues with Cincinnati Ballet! This holiday season, we’re thrilled to host our second winter dance camp experience from January 2 - 4, 2020, for dancers ages 4-9.
Students will chassé through the season with three days of games, crafts, and magical wintry tunes. Priority registration for current Academy families opens November 8! Registration opens to the general public on November 15. Don’t miss this chance to dance over the holiday break!
Cincinnati Ballet's National Audition Tour will be announced this week! Our nationally recognized six-week summer programs provide intensive training designed to cultivate individual potential. Acceptance into the Summer Intensive and Collegiate Intensive is by audition only. Students interested in Summer Intensive must be 12 years of age by program start date to be eligible to audition. Students interested in Collegiate Intensive must be 18 years of age by program start date.
Summer Intensive and Collegiate Intensive will both run June 15 - July 24, 2020. Any eligible Academy student who is interested must attend one of two auditions at the Cincinnati Ballet Center on January 5 or February 2, 2020. The audition fee is waived for current students, but you’re encouraged to pre-register online, so keep an eye out for a formal announcement coming soon!
