David Strathairn: Selected Shorts
Addition to Selected Shorts: David Strathairn
Big news! A second performer to the live tapings of Selected Shorts on Saturday, February 29 at 3pm and 7:30pm has been added.
David Strathairn is an Oscar-nominated character actor known for his roles in Good Night and Good Luck, Lincoln, L.A. Confidential, City of Hope, and many more. He will join host Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle) and another yet-to-be-announced performer to read stories by well-known and emerging writers. This hit NPR show is broadcast on over 130 stations to about 300,000 listeners, and the performances at Montalvo will be recorded for possible airing on upcoming episodes.
At Montalvo, the theme of the stories is Unexpected Encounters. The characters in these stories may be lonely, but they've got blind dates with destiny ahead of them…and it's anyone's guess what could happen next. If you love great stories (and who doesn't?), this is an event you won't want to miss!
