Clara's Dream

The Ukrainian Shumka Dancers, Edmonton's Citie Ballet, Viter Ukrainian Folk Choir and Ukraine's Virsky and Kyiv Ballet join forces for Clara's Dream, Edmonton's Ukrainian Nutcracker!

Clara's Dream is the only Ukrainian folk ballet representation of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. Given the famous composer's Ukrainian heritage, the production incorporates Ukrainian Christmas traditions, folk and character dance, with lavish sets and costumes!

The Singing Christmas Tree

Edmonton's favourite holiday tradition is back! Enjoy a 35-foot singing Christmas tree, breathtaking sets, graceful ballerinas, talented soloists, dancing Santas, and thousands of glimmering lights with an evening of delightful Christmassy entertainment.

All net proceeds from The Singing Christmas Tree go to local charities, organizations and children in need through gifts, food and music education.

Salute to Vienna New Year’s Concert

More celebratory and sophisticated than a glass of fine champagne, Salute to Vienna New Year’s Concert is a delight for the eyes and the ears. This January 2, a stunning new program featuring Strauss waltzes and sweeping melodies from Die Fledermaus and The Merry Widow will be performed by a full orchestra, acclaimed European singers, ballet as well as beautifully costumed ballroom dancers that will waltz you through romantic vignettes. Fall in love with the Blue Danube Waltz all over again and clap until the last note of the Radetzky March.

Opera NUOVA sing-along

Bring the whole family out for a sing-along evening filled with your favourite music from generations of musical theatre hits. Dress up in your favourite character costume or come decked out to ring in 2017. Sung by an amazing cast of NUOVA’s Emerging Artists, you’ll be lead through the songs you, your children and your grandchildren know and love. Face painters and balloon artists will also be there to help make those magical New Year’s Eve memories and fireworks will cap off the evening, all before 10pm!
