Paid Opportunity For Diverse String Players in Chicago - Summer 2020

Come be a part of the nation’s longest running free outdoor summer classical music series for our 86th Season! We are thrilled to announce that applications are now being accepted for Grant Park Music Festival's Project Inclusion String Fellowship. 

PROJECT INCLUSION STRING FELLOWSHIP
A unique paid opportunity for early career string players aged 18-29 from diverse backgrounds historically underrepresented in the symphonic field, including but not limited to African American, Native American, and Latinx artists. 

Fellowship Includes: 
 ♦ Rehearse and perform with the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus
 ♦ Master classes with world-renowned guest artists
 ♦ One-on-one mentorship with artistic leadership and orchestra members
 ♦ Weekly chamber concerts as a quartet throughout Chicago
 ♦ Professional development sessions
 ♦ Networking with professional musicians from across the country
 ♦ Community engagement training and opportunities

Four Available Fellowships: Violin (2), Viola, Cello
Dates: June 1- July 25, 2020
Stipend: $6,800 US (approximate)
Video Application Deadline: February 17, 2020
In-Person Finalist Audition: March 20, 2020 (in Chicago)
