June 1, 2015, at 7pm, critically acclaimed authors Marina Endicott and Guy Vanderhaeghe join host Fred Stenson on the Wordfest stage for an evening of readings and conversations about their new books, followed by an audience Q&A and book signing. Tickets to an intimate reception with the authors beginning at 6pm are available for $65, while quantities last (includes admission to the main event at 7pm).

Back by popular demand, Wordfest’s Editor in Residence program runs until April 30, 2015. The program is open to the public, free of charge and by appointment only during Wordfest’s regular office hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The initiative is offered in partnership with the Calgary Association of Freelance Editors (CAFE).

In preparation for the upcoming 20th anniversary Festival, October 13-18, 2015, Wordfest is looking to hire a summer student for a Youth and Cultural Connections Internship (4 months) and an Indigenous Programming Intern (9 months). Thanks to generous support from donors who have contributed to the campaign since January 2015, Wordfest is almost half-way towards reaching its goal of raising $30,000 in charitable donations before the 20th anniversary Festival, October 13-18, 2015.
