First Calgary Financial and Wordfest present the Book Rapport program, featuring a selection of renowned Canadian and international writers, illustrators, poets and performers each year for the enjoyment of children, teens, parents and educators in Calgary and the Bow Valley, October 14-19, 2014.

Something for everyone
The Book Rapport program presents authors and illustrators working in a variety of languages including English, French and Spanish. Featured titles are of different genres - non-fiction, novels, graphic novels and picture books. Review the lineup and call us for more information

Class Field trips
Wordfest offers great field trip destinations for K-12 students with ticketed events for age appropriate groups. Two authors are featured at each event, with the opportunity for your students to see the people behind the stories. Teachers join in for free*.

Author visits possible
Can't get a school bus? Wordfest can bring the festival to your school. We will send an author to meet with your students in their class for a reading, discussion, interactive presentation or workshop.

Reading guides available
Reading guides are available to educators so students can learn more about the featured authors’ books. Teachers can download the guides and the activity sheets designed around featured titles

Brochure available
The program brochure has been mailed to your school. "The Rights of the Reader" would be a great to post in your classroom or library and the brochure acts as a great conversation piece for the school council. If you need more copies, or if you have a question, contact us!
