Women's Heritage Tea

You are cordially invited to attend the Women's Heritage Tea on Saturday, March 10, 2018.  The Museum will be honoring five exceptional women:  Wilma Brooks, Dinora Guthrie, Bonnie Moran, Joan Tucker and Joyce Walker.  "We wanted to do something new," said Mary Lyle, the director of Education.  "These are long-time residents of Lea County who have made a difference in this community."  As always, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite, silliest, or most beautiful hat for a chance to win a door prize.

Since prehistoric times, humans have sought to find utility in darkness, and have invented ways to acclimate to dark conditions. Visiting In the Dark, guests experience and explore these mysteries via electronic, mechanical and computer interactives, immersive dioramas and lifelike models.
