Sittin' In: Hosted by Laurin Talese
Wed, Jan 9  |  7:30pm  |  Commonwealth Plaza

Sittin’ In kicks off 2013 with a spectacular night of hot music and vocals hosted by Laurin Talese backed by an all-star house band featuring Eric Wortham II (a frequent musician for Jill Scott), Adam Blackstone (current MD for Jay Z, Rhianna, and Kanye West among other top ten artists), and Anwar Marshall – one of Philly’s hottest drummers.

Performing with Eric D. Wortham II at Chris' Jazz Café, Talese stopped the show with gutsy new renditions of both classical and jazz standards. Wortham notes "Musically, she has very big ears, and she understands what's going on harmonically... She has great feel in terms of time. Her phrasing is impeccable. And she can switch from jazz to classical on a dime."

Don’t miss this unforgettable new spin on the classics as Talese joins the house band and local favorite DJ PHSH for a night of eclectic mix of horns, vinyl, and vocals.
