NC State University

April 2016

Summer's Nearly Here and We're Going Paperless!

We've listened to your requests and starting summer 2016 class registration will be accomplished fully online using credit cards.  No more trips to the post office and no more clandestine dashes to the dropbox!

To register for a class, simply browse the Summer 2016 Crafts Center Schedule for classes that interest you.  Follow the links to the Crafts Center's new E-commerce site to ascertain space availability.  Then create an account or simply continue as a guest to complete your online registration.  When successfully completed, you'll receive an immediate confirmation via E-mail.
Driven in large part by the new online registration system, please read and familiarize yourself with the following very important changes:

  • All class registration will be purchased online using credit or debit cards only. No cash or checks.

  • Registration cannot be submitted using Crafts Center computers.

  • You will pay one price.  As indicated in the descriptions, supplies and materials will either be included in the total cost, paid to the instructor during the class, or purchased by the participant and brought to class.

  • Participants in all classes and studios must be at least 18 years of age or an active NC State student.

  • Multiple class discounts have been discontinued.

  • Studio use fee discounts for workshop participants have been discontinued.  However, workshops with significant contact hours will be treated like a class, and therefore, will include free studio use passes. (see class description)

  • Summer semester studio passes can be purchased online beginning April 11 for anyone who wants to renew a pass.  For those new to the Center and not taking a class, and for all first time prospective studio users, an orientation must be arranged and completed before a studio pass can be purchased.

  • For now, supplies such as clay, wood & glass, will continue to be sold as normal at the Info Desk. We hope to have card swipe capability allowing for payment by credit card by early summer.

  • As always, feel free to call 919.515.2457 if you have any questions about registration.
