Rick Steves returns to the Smithsonian

Dear ,

Acclaimed author and travel authority Rick Steves is back by popular demand this spring, making his return to the Smithsonian stage with an illustrated program on thoughtful travel and the value of global perspective.

Steves believes there’s more to travel than hotel deals, great art, and tasty cuisine. Drawing from lessons he learned while exploring Europe, Central America, Asia, and the Middle East, Steves outlines how traveling thoughtfully can make your trip an investment in a better world. After all, the greatest value of travel, he finds, is that it widens our horizons beyond our own hometown.
