Witness a multifarious performance of symphonic music, kicked off by Missy Mazzoli’s Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres) and Ravel’s colorful, jazz-flavored Piano Concerto in G major performed by soloist Conrad Tao. To top it off, we're ending the evening with Berlioz’s famously psychedelic and programmatic work Symphonie fantastique.
"Sometimes the horn can be like a warm, rich blanket over the top of the orchestra, and other times it can be kind of like a red Sharpie line running right through the middle, creating a lot of energy and excitement. It’s a great feeling to be a part of that visceral body of sound that the orchestra creates."
