The Edmonton Opera board of directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Yakimec to the combined position of General Manager and Artistic Director, effective Nov. 13, 2014.

Over the past year as Edmonton Opera's General Manager, Tim has demonstrated a collaborative leadership style that incorporates feedback from singers, directors, conductors, other opera directors and our own artistic advisory committee. His academic training and performance experience in the performing arts, as well as extensive experience behind the scenes and at senior administration levels provides him with the appropriate skills for this position.

"As we continue through the 2014/15 season and plan for future seasons, I look forward to working with audiences, artists and staff to bring varied and meaningful works to the stage," Yakimec said.
