Rehearsal hall funding announced

On December 20, MP Randy Boissonnault visited the Edmonton Opera facility to announce Federal funding for the renovation of our rehearsal hall through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund. Also in attendance were MLA David Shepherd and arts leaders from the city.

We are very thankful to federal, provincial, and municipal funding bodies for their contribution — the renovated facility will be a great space for the Edmonton arts community to use for rehearsals, scenery builds, and more!

Welcome Freewill Shakespeare Festival!

As a result of facility renovations, we are now able to share our space with local arts organizations like Freewill Shakespeare Festival, who have moved their administrative office to our building!

Not only that, Freewill's productions will also be built and rehearsed at our facility. The Bard and opera make quite the combination, and we are very excited about this partnership!
