Join one of the most celebrated folk trios of all time for two nights (Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19) with the Kingston Trio in our intimate, indoor Carriage House Theatre!
In 1957, the Kingston Trio emerged from San Francisco’s North Beach club scene to take the country by storm, bringing the rich tradition of American folk music into the mainstream. Their sound helped influence the musical tastes of a generation.
Through changing times, they have played on, remaining popular for a simple reason: their classic songs sound as good today as they did the first time you heard them.

Enjoy an afternoon of mindful arts practice as ikebana instructor Yuko Tiernan introduces a different style of this beautiful art form -- Kokedama -- on Sunday, April 28 from 10-11:30am.
Kokedama is a type of simple Japanese Bonsai, where a plant’s root is wrapped in moss and bound by threads. This method encapsulates the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, which is often defined as an appreciation of the imperfections of nature and the transience of natural beauty. The workshop will include a cultural overview of the art form as well as guided instruction on how to create your own arrangements!
Instructor Yuko Tiernan's passion is creating ikebana that blends Japanese simplicity with Western vibrancy. She aims to promote wellness by bringing the therapeutic effects of mindful ikebana to the community. Join her for this creative and relaxing class in the quiet setting of our historic Villa!
