What will our streets and cities look and sound like in a driverless future?
Our Lucas Artists Program (LAP) and artist collective RadioEE•net will explore this question on Thursday, November 15 and Friday, November 16 in AUTOPILOTO, an online, live-streaming 24-hour broadcast from a semi-autonomous vehicle traveling around the Bay Area.
Part of "New Terrains: Mobility and Migration," a collaborative project among local arts organizations, AUTOPILOTO will investigate issues of mobility from the multilingual perspective of local drivers, technologists, cityworkers, and artists. Through storytelling and auditory experiments, they will paint a sonic portrait of an impending future.
You can tune in to the broadcast live both days from 11am-11pm by visiting RadioEE•net, or interact directly with the artists at the San Jose Museum of Art's monthly ArtRage event. RadioEE•net will be dropping by from 8-9pm to solicit conversations and contributions which will be incorporated into the broadcast.

Do you like to get into the holiday spirit early? If so, you're in luck: even before Black Friday, the grand tradition of Yuletide at Montalvo returns this November 16-18 with a weekend full of festivities!
All weekend long, our Yuletide Marketplace will feature three distinct areas: the Country Store, featuring handcrafted jewelry, dishware, and more, plus snack foods made by our Montalvo Service Group; the Sewing Boutique, where you can buy knitted decorative clothes, blankets, and more; and the Cafe—the perfect place to take a break from shopping for a cup of joe and a light snack.
Our Intimate Holiday Tea on Saturday, November 17 is already sold out -- but spaces still remain in our kids-only Breakfast with Santa on Sunday, November 18 at 9:30am and our Vintage Fashion Show & Holiday Tea later that afternoon at 12:30pm.
Whether you're looking for unique, handmade gifts, want to bring your loved one to a classy afternoon tea in our beautiful venue, or a parent hoping to give your child a fun holiday experience, Yuletide is the place to be. Don't miss it—admission is free (just pay $5 for on-site parking)!
As a special thank you to our generous supporters, we are offering a special Donor Preview night for Bruce Munro at Montalvo: Stories in Light on Saturday, October 27 from 6-8:30pm.
Donors at the $250 (Senator) level and above are invited to join us for this exclusive soiree and tour of the exhibition. Park on the grounds and join us for free wine and hors d'oeuvres, then be among the first to explore the works before the general public gets access. If you want to experience the exhibition without the crowds, this is the perfect chance!
If you have more to give, donors at the $2,500 (Villa Circle) level and above will be invited to a private VIP Sponsor reception on October 25. Contact Emma Moon for more details.
If you're a $250+ donor and you haven't registered yet, be sure to RSVP through the link below. If you'd like to join or upgrade so that you can be a part of this exclusive night, click here or call Chris Wilcox at 408-961-5849.
If you're a fan of Jim Messina, this is your last chance to grab tickets to see him on Thursday, November 1 at 7:30pm in our intimate Carriage House Theatre!
An undisputed expert in the fine art of making hit music, Messina’s legacy of musical prowess spans five decades, three acclaimed rock super groups, a vibrant solo career, as well as a dizzying array of gamechanging producing and engineering credits including such luminaries as The Doors, Lee Michaels, and Herb Alpert. As one half of Loggins & Messina; co-founder of the country-rock band Poco; and band member and key contributor to Buffalo Springfield, he has left an indelible footprint on rock music.
