From six feet underground to Six Feet Under, after our tour wraps up, we’ll head across the street for drinks and fun.

hello from your new YP coordinator!

Hey everyone! I'm Laura Jurotich, your new YP coordinator. I've been working at the High in membership for the last year, and I'm so excited to take over this group. I'm the person who writes these emails, plans your events, advocates for all things YP, etc.

I'm originally from Birmingham, but Atlanta has quickly become my home. I moved here right after graduating from Wake Forest (Go Deacs!) and have fallen in love with this city. I have my B.A. in History and Art History, and a few of my favorite artists are Giotto, Botticelli, Cy Twombly, and Willem de Kooning. You can find me playing with dogs on the Beltline, at the Tabernacle, or searching for the best queso and margaritas in town (recommendations are always appreciated!)

Please reach out to me any time with questions, event ideas, or anything at all: laura.jurotich@high.org. See you soon!

Saturday, September 10 | 2–3 p.m.

Free for members; tickets required

As the Walker Evans retrospective comes to a close, let’s ruminate on the state of contemporary southern photography. Although Evans himself was not from the South, his iconic work in Hale County Alabama during the great Depression has defined the way in which many people around the nation and the world envision our region and its past.
