At the museum’s main location on Beretania Street:
Chef Jacob Silver has created a tempting à la carte menu that includes sweetbread French toast and a bacon-and-Swiss cheese omelette oozing with onion fondue. Prices range from $16 to $18. The Museum Shop helps make mom’s day special with a 10 percent discount for guests, and Supporting-level members and above get an additional 10 percent off their regular member discount.

Doting children can make a day of it and accompany mom to the current exhibitions Shahzia Sikander: Parallax and Artists of Hawai‘i 2017, and explore the museum’s tranquil courtyards.

At the museum’s location in Makiki Heights:
Up at Honolulu Museum of Art Spalding House, chef Susan Lai Hipp will serve a globe-trotting $35 prix-fixe brunch menu that features a potato, Parmesan and roasted pepper pierogi with Irish bangers and poached egg over fresh spinach and vine-ripened tomatoes, and topped with mornay sauce. Brunchers must book in advance. The regular menu will also be available.

After brunch, guests can see the exhibition HoMA Select, featuring masterpieces from the museum’s collection that are in its Collection Highlights catalog, and take a meandering stroll through the lush gardens.
