Superstar soprano Renée Fleming returns to Denver with baritone Rod Gilfry for an exciting Colorado premiere of The Brightness of Light conducted by Music Director Brett Mitchell. Written in three parts by Pulitzer Prize winning composer Kevin Puts and accompanied by a Wendall Harrington film, The Brightness of Light tells the story of a great artist who ultimately turns from a painful marriage to embrace her work and the desert land she loves.
This performance includes visual accompaniment with three large screens suspended in the concert hall. Limited seating.
Join us for a family-friendly evening of music as a Colorado Symphony Brass Quintet performs onstage at beautiful Parkfield Lake Park. Ticket giveaways for select titles coming in 2019/20 and an on-site instrument petting zoo will provide fun for people of all ages!
This event is a free community concert. No tickets are required for admission, but seating is first come, first served.
We Will Rock You is an eccentric and heartfelt story of outsiders, a cautionary tale for the cyberage, and a tribute to the legendary music of rock band Queen. Follow two revolutionaries, Galileo and Scaramouche, on a quest to save rock n’ roll in a post-apocalyptic world where there are no musical instruments and rock n’ roll has died.
We Will Rock You reflects the scale and spectacle that marked Queen’s live performances and earned the band its pinnacle position in rock history!
