Matt uses his highly-developed musical skills to draw us into a journey through his own compositions and signature renditions of Marley, Hendrix and the Beatles. One guitar drawing from a world of influences.

The Danny Jonokuchi Quintet

The Danny Jonokuchi Quintet is comprised of students and alumni of Temple University's Jazz program. With each performance the group brings new energy to songs from the traditional Jazz repertoire as well as their own original compositions.

Sittin’ In
Join us once a month as Philly's hottest musicians revisit the classic jam session on the Plaza Stage! An eclectic mix of cross-genre grooves meet horns, vinyl, and vocals. This series is curated by Anthony Tidd. Drink specials and snacks available at the PECO Bar. Admission is free, no cover.

Debuting in the Plaza, our first Sittin’ In will be led by noted bassist Anthony Tidd. The All Star Band is comprised of keyboard-player James Poysner, guitarist Kevin Hanson, drummer Steve Mckie, trumpeter Matt Cappy, DJ Phish, and Hezekiah, MC. These acclaimed musicians have worked with international talent including Erkyah Badu, The Roots, Jill Scott, Bilal, and Jay Z!

PNC Grow Up Great
Join us for FREE children's performances at the Kimmel Center! Designed for kids aged five and under, this popular series features entertaining music, interactive events, and good times for all ages.

Bash the Trash: African Folktales

Bash the Trash performs and educates with musical instruments made from recycled materials. Come enjoy a "trashy" take on folk tales from Africa, including Anansi - the trickster who turns into a spider…and of course everyone will build a musical instrument to take home!

The Deedle Deedle Dees

Founded by Brooklyn-based songwriter Lloyd Miller, the Deedle Deedle Dees use rock-n-roll, country, hip hop, punk, and folk to teach kids about American history, the natural world, social action, and other cool stuff they might never have thought about before.

Go behind the scenes!
Free tours of the Kimmel Center are offered Tuesday through Sunday at 1pm. The Art & Architecture tour is offered on Saturdays at 10:30. Register at the information desk in the Plaza. Academy of Music tours are available on selected dates by reservation only. Group tours are also available.
